S!NERGY: STUDENTS X IDEAS X ENERGY

IAYSP supports the Sustainable Development Goals

What is S!NERGY

S!NERGY, an initiative by the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace in Japan, has now expanded its reach to other IAYSP national chapters, making it a global platform for students and young individuals to showcase their projects and ideas that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event provides an opportunity for participants to present their initiatives in a professional setting. A judging panel, comprising accomplished young individuals with successful projects, along with esteemed guests, engages in a collaborative voting process with the audience to determine the best idea and presentation. The selected winner is awarded a grant to further support their exceptional project, making S!NERGY a valuable avenue to gain both publicity and financial backing for your initiative.

Submitting a presentation

If you would like to participate in a S!NERGY competition, be sure to fill in the required fields of the online submission form once a competition is announced.

The submissions will be reviewed by a committee, and the top submissions then selected to be presented live on stage or to an online audience. These live presentations need to be 7-10 minutes long, relating to the theme of the specific S!NERGY event. There are local, national, regional and global levels of S!NERGY events.

Rules for entering into multiple S!NERGY competitions

Participants may submit multiple presentations to the same competition, but only one submission can be selected to be presented live.

The same presentation can be submitted to different S!NERGY competitions as long as they are not of the same level (i.e. local, national, regional).

All Regional S!NERGY competitions (S!NERGY x Europe & Middle East) are shown on this website. Participants can enter the same presentation to multiple Regional S!NERGY competitions only if they have not been awarded 1st place before.
