The 69th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) is a critical moment to review progress on the commitments made in the Beijing Declaration and the outcomes of the 23rd special session of the General Assembly.

It offers an important space to evaluate efforts toward gender equality and women’s empowerment, while connecting these goals to the broader vision of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This session acknowledges the urgent need to remove barriers that continue to hold women and girls back. It will celebrate the progress achieved since Beijing while addressing ongoing challenges such as inequality, discrimination, and the impact of global crises.

The panel discussion will focus on solutions—practical, collaborative, and impactful. It will share successful approaches, foster meaningful dialogue, and identify strategies that can be scaled up.

🌍✨ Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders in Nepal ✨🌍

Check out our latest Peace Designer Seminar in collaboration with Girls Empowered by Travel (GET) @get_nepal in Basantapur, Nepal!🇳🇵

It was a day of learning, creativity, and action, where young women from Sankhuwasabha came together to explore the meaning of peace and how to make a positive impact in their communities. 🕊️

Here’s what we covered:
1️⃣ Peace Fundamentals – We discussed the three levels of peace: inner peace, peace with others, and peace with the environment, and how they connect to the Sustainable Development Goals. 🌱
 2️⃣ Photography Exploration – Each participant was given a disposable camera to capture images of peace, culture, and community around Kathmandu Durbar Square.📸
 3️⃣ Community Project Development – We brainstormed solutions for local issues like waste management and access to education, and the participants developed actionable projects to address these challenges.📝

By the end of the workshop, these amazing young women walked away with:
✅ A deeper understanding of sustainable peace ✅ Practical tools for creating positive community change ✅ Confidence in presenting their ideas and solutions

A huge thank you to @get_nepal for making this workshop possible and to all the participants for their creativity, passion, and dedication. We can’t wait to see how they continue to lead and inspire their communities! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
