Youth and Students for Peace is organizing a presentation competition called S!NERGY to be held in the city of Newark, New Jersey. This is an opportunity for students and young adults, age 16-40 to present their ideas or projects that promote peace and better societies.
These presentations will be given on stage in front of a panel of judges and audience who will both vote on the top presenters. The winners will receive a grant of up to $500 along with an equal amount towards their non-profit of choice.
It is completely free to participate.
To compete, a short video of your presentation must be submitted for review. Be sure to go to the S!nergy page to read all the necessary details and requirements to compete. The presentation Theme for this S!nergy event is “Peace Starts with Me”
Video submissions need to be sent to naria@yspusa.org. The deadline for all submissions is Dec. 16, 2019. Be sure to include your full name, age, city and state, and phone number in the body of the email.
The submissions will be reviewed by a committee and the top 3-4 candidates will be notified between Dec. 17-18, 2019. Final presentations given on stage need to be 7-10 minutes long. All who wish to compete must be available 1-2 hours before the start of the competition on Dec. 20 for a rehearsal.
The event will be held at Essex County College, 303 University Ave, Newark, NJ 07102 in the Morton A. Siegler Hall.
