Youth and Students for Peace is organizing a S!NERGY event to be hosted virtually for the first time. This is an opportunity for students and young adults, age 18-40 to present their ideas or projects that promote peace and better societies.
These presentations will be given in front of a panel of judges and audience who will both vote on the top presenters.
It is completely free to participate.
To compete, a short video of your presentation must be submitted for review. Be sure to go to the S!nergy page to read all the necessary details and requirements to compete.
The presentation Theme for this S!nergy event is “Healing America”. For this year’s S!nergy event, we want to acknowledge the issues that are affecting the world today, especially with the racial divide that has come to the forefront of the American conscience. There are a multitude of issues dividing this country today (racial inequality, climate change, poverty, and poor education) and we want to encourage youth and students to find out which issues they can best tackle and how they would resolve them.
Video submissions need to be sent to ricardo@yspusa.org. The deadline for all submissions is July. 18, 2020. Be sure to include your full name, age, city and state, and phone number in the body of the email.
The submissions will be reviewed by a committee and the top 3-4 candidates will be notified between July 18-20, 2020. Final presentations need to be 7-10 minutes long. All who wish to compete must be available 1-2 hours before the start of the competition on July 25th for a rehearsal.
The event will be held online via a zoom call.
