For the last weekend of 2021, Shine City Project volunteered at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. On December 26, 2021, ten Shine City Project volunteers assisted with the shelter’s community dinner service. Before the start of the dinner service, some volunteers helped to wipe down food trays while others helped to fill water pitchers and place them on tables. Once the dining hall opened, volunteers served food, provided hot sauce, refilled water pitchers, and performed other tasks. After completing the volunteer service and cleaning up for the day, the volunteers headed to Harrison House where they were treated to a home-cooked dinner by Aunt Katherine of Harrison House.
Overall, the Shine City Project team are glad they could end the year strong with some love and comfort for those who needed it most!
