Home Bound Acts of Service will continue! This time instead of a week-long challenge we want to leave this open for anyone to post during this time of social distancing. For this next week we would like to challenge people to find things to do to help the greater community as well as their family members.
How it Works: From March 30, 2020 onward post a photo or short video of your act of service on Facebook or Instagram with a caption explaining your act. Tag us with “@Youth and Students for Peace USA” for Facebook and “@ysp.usa” for Instagram, and use the hashtags #yspusa, #homeboundactsofservice, #service, #quarantine, #covid_19. Tag 3 friends and invite them to join the challenge!
Who can Join: Anyone! Whether you’re a YSP member or not, age 0-1000, you can participate so invite your family, friends and co-workers! Just remember to include the hashtags!
Be sure to change your post's privacy setting to "Public" on Facebook so that we can find your post.
Prizes: At the end of each week we will select some noteworthy acts of service and send a package as a prize!
Service Ideas:
Collect PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment) desperately needed by medical workers.
Make cloth face masks for hospitals that are requesting them—check out the following links to find a hospital in need and for face mask patterns.
Color a Smile--color a drawing printed from this nonprofit’s website and send it to them so they can give it to someone who needs something to brighten their day! https://colorasmile.org/
Checking on the needs of your elderly friends and neighbors
Clean your neighborhood litter
Make thank you cards for medical staff at your local hospitals

This challenge is restricted to US and Canada residents. Participants are allowed to post more than once a day.
